Trail Overview

This is a great upper-level trail located in the Holcomb Canyon area, serving as a perfect hub for exploring the surrounding network. It sits in close proximity to several other trails and the Pacific Crest Trail, making it an ideal jumping-off point for both bikes and 4x4s. The elevation provides a unique perspective of the canyon, and the area is rich with offshoots that are well worth the time to investigate if you're looking for a full day of discovery.

Took this trail in a stock Willy’s wrangler, showed a 3/10 difficulty, in reality I would say it’s maybe a 4-5 in a 4 wheeled vehicle, there were some areas that were considerably washed out as well as very rocky terrain. In certain areas the trail could be very narrow and pinstripes are almost unavoidable. Overall fun and somewhat challenging but very bumpy(made some first timers uncomfortable with the shelf roads and changing camber), with all the other scenic routes around, this one was decent offering some views of the forest and mountains. If you are new or are going alone with a family it is possible but your occupants may not enjoy it as much as the driver lol. Wish I snapped some photos of the obstacles but there were some areas with pretty deep ruts. 4x4 was necessary on certain sections
