Trail Overview

This 5-mile point-to-point trail runs along HWY 120. The trail runs along the ridge of the Tolumne River Valley and gives excellent views of the valley below. The trail is mostly one vehicle with shallow mud holes less than 12" in depth. There is a short section of HWY 120 which must be traveled. The area is closed from December 16-April 14 and is used for livestock grazing, so when opened, please make sure you close gates after you pass through.

I only did Tolumne road but it was a nice easy trail with great views. It is single car width but there are numerous places for passing. There is a note to keep closing the gate until mid June.

Ferretti road entrance and west 120 road entrance was open. The gate was close on the 120 east road entrance. Gates just opened two days ago. I had to clear one section with a downed tree.
