Red Mountain Motorway - FS 29N73

This single lane dirt road begins off of FS 29N30 (FS 30). Contrary to what shows up on some base maps, it ends on the other side of a ravine from Highway 36, making this a connector, or out and back. The road travels through mixed forest and open areas, with many side roads and at least one single track dirt bike trail that could be explored. The first few miles contain some climbs and descents with erosion ruts up to 18 inches deep as well as exposed embedded and loose rocks up to a foot high. After those sections it is a bit less challenging. The Forest Service difficulty markings match this, with that first section marked blue and the later sections marked green. The road is wide enough to meet another vehicle safely for most of its length, but there are a few narrow sections.
