Trail Overview

Rancheria Spur FS 25S15C is a smooth, well-maintained shelf road spur off Rancheria Road that cuts through a pine forest still bearing visible signs of the 2021 French Fire. Glimpses of the canyon below, the surrounding mountains, and Lake Isabella appear through the trees as the trail progresses. The trail terminates at a non-motorized hiking trailhead, marking the end of the line for all vehicles.

Difficulty

The surface is generally in good condition, and the trail is straightforward for most vehicles. The narrow shelf road width of just over one vehicle warrants steady attention throughout. Muddy conditions are possible after rainfall. Street-legal vehicles only are permitted on this route.
