Trail Overview
This cutoff trail connects BLM 236 to BLM 214 Painted Hills, creating a great loop trail option. From BLM 236, the trail cuts into a wash and then climbs up onto a wasteland wash of rocks and dirt. The route then enters a canyon made of sand and rock, creating varied terrain throughout this short connector. You'll start enjoying great views of the painted hills as you navigate toward BLM 214. This efficient connector allows you to experience more of the Painted Hills area without backtracking on the same route.
