This single, narrow trail climbs the entire way, with multiple washes and ditches along the way, including medium-sized rocks. Midway up, it gets a bit tight, causing brush scratches. The ridge narrows as you reach the top, but an older, large wash blocks the very end of the trail before it meets American Hill, preventing you from continuing. From the top, you can enjoy amazing views as far as the eye can see, and it’s also a perfect spot to watch the sunset. There are some dispersed camp spots along the way.
