Trail Overview

Scenic trail located accessed from Holcomb Valley - 3N16 from the South end or John Bull Flat from the North end. This trail offers a diverse blend of terrain and views. It begins with a smooth, graded surface suitable for most high-clearance 4x4 vehicles. As it progresses, drivers will encounter minor trail obstacles, including some tight areas and a few exposed roots that require attention. The eastern side of the route provides expansive views down into the surrounding valleys, making for several photo-worthy pullouts. Midway through the route, a nice, sizable, quiet camp spot can be found off the southwestern side, set slightly back from the main path for privacy. Toward the Northern end, the trail opens up into a wide area that connects to John Bull Flat, often used as a staging or regrouping point. This section has some softer sand, which may require reduced tire pressure for easier navigation.
