Trail Overview
Offers a moderately technical off-road experience with multiple access points from the south via Van Dusen Creek Road or from the north through John Bull Flat. If entering from Van Dusen Creek, pay close attention at the fork--turning left at the T is essential to stay on 3N43, as continuing right keeps you on Van Dusen Creek. The trail begins with a relatively smooth surface and includes a turnout suitable for camping or staging on the eastern side early in the route. As the trail continues, it narrows in some sections, requiring careful maneuvering through tight tree-lined paths. Throughout the route, exposed roots and uneven surfaces appear intermittently, adding a mild challenge and requiring driver awareness. A key feature of Harvey Mine - 3N43 is a steep, rocky climb that demands high clearance, proper tire traction, and ideally a spotter. While intimidating to some, this rock-crawling section is a major highlight for experienced off-roaders and marks the trail as more than just a scenic cruise. Despite the challenges, there are numerous pullouts along the way, making it easier for vehicles to pass or regroup.

While the trail starts off easy, the inclusion of a steep rock obstacle and tighter trail sections raises the overall difficulty. Drivers should be prepared for moderate terrain with some technical driving.
