Trail Overview

Geology Tour Road leads through Pleasant Valley in Joshua Tree National Park. It's a dirt and sand road meant to discover different geological features with points of interest along the way. There are hiking trails and climbing opportunities along the trail. Any high clearance vehicle can do the trail, some signs say 4x4 required, so in the winter or rainy seasons there may be reason to engage 4x4. There are great views of the valley along the trail and plenty of interesting vegetation types.

Difficulty

Trail is dirt and sand, but most stock vehicles could make it through. There are no significant obstacles or water crossings.
