FS 4S55E

This scenic, fine-dirt trail connects FS 4S125 to Round Mountain Loop, climbing over rolling hills and weaving between massive boulders and unique rock formations. A large, level campsite within the first 100 yards offers full shade and a fire ring. Camping is plentiful throughout the route, with many level, shaded sites protected by the surrounding trees. Heavy vegetation grows through much of the trail and may brush the bumper and undercarriage. Depending on the season, tall weeds may also collect around the radiator or A/C condenser. The fine dirt can become significantly more difficult when wet.
