Trail Overview

This fun, windy trail runs through new and old-growth pine forest, offering a relatively flat route with scenic diversity. The trail provides views of Mount Morrison, Mini Morrison, Sherwin Mountain, and other surrounding peaks as it winds through the varied forest terrain. The route showcases both mature and regenerating forest ecosystems while maintaining consistent mountain vistas. It starts near an outdoor shooting range.

Difficulty

This trail earns a low difficulty rating despite its challenging surface conditions. The pumice and very sandy trail features lots of deep ruts along with some whoops, washboards, and off-camber sections throughout. A high clearance vehicle is highly recommended to navigate the varied surface obstacles and rutted conditions.
