This narrow dirt and rocky trail has tight trees where pinstriping is nearly unavoidable, along with steep hill climbs and sections reaching 10° off-camber. At 0.5 miles, a level campsite accommodates up to four vehicles with excellent views of Black Mountain and the surrounding valley. Around 0.8 miles, a viewpoint at the highest point of the trail offers unobstructed views of the mountains, valley, and lake below, with parking for up to three vehicles. Beyond this point, the trail becomes significantly more difficult with continuous rock gardens and rocks 12–18 inches in diameter. Several more campsites are located farther along, including a level site at the end accommodating up to six vehicles. Motorized travel beyond this point is limited to vehicles 50 inches wide or less.
