Trail Overview

The East Frazier Trail begins just off the main street, legal only on Gold Hill Road opposite the Edison Campground at GPS coordinates N34.77177° W118.87922°, and is 1.2 miles in length. While some maps show this as the Coyote or Edison Trails, the signage within the SVRA is East Frazier Trail. At .3 miles, the Coyote Trail can be accessed on the left. At .93 miles, the Sterling Trail begins on the left. At several locations along the trail, it splits into two and then merges back into a single trail. While mostly a hard-pack double-wide trail, it does have long sections of small rocks. As the trail climbs up the canyon, it gets narrower, so be aware of oncoming traffic. Once at the top, the trail descends and is semi-steep with lots of S-turns. Once at the bottom, it follows a small stream and has some low-hanging tree branches that could catch your flag, along with some small whoops. The trail turns to the right at the intersection with the Coyote Trail at .97 miles. The trail terminates at the intersection with the Sterling Canyon and Power Line Roads at GPS coordinates N34.77930° W118.88374°.

Difficulty

Most of this trail I would rate as a 2, but the semi-steep twisting downhill turns raise the difficulty level to a 3.
