Trail Overview

This is a single-track dirt trail with consistent switchbacks, shelf sections, and a constant climb up from the valley below. Easily accessible from CA 395, high clearance vehicles with 4x4 are recommended on this route. There are a few mild off-camber sections and a few small water crossings created by natural springs that will vary in severity based on the season and rain runoff. Expect expansive views of the valley as you quickly ascend the mountainside; take a minute to watch for wildlife along the way

The trail is as advertised as easy. However, a wild fire has been through here and it’s weakened the trees. About half way through the trail, we came across 3 downed trees we were able to move. When we came across the tree pictured, we had to turn around. The trail itself was sturdy, just bring a chainsaw. The second picture is where on the trail the obstruction is.
