Trail Overview
This trail begins at 7,870 feet at the end of Little Walker Road. From the start, it drops about 600 feet in under 2 miles, winding steadily down along a shelf ridge. The road surface is gravel and varies from one vehicle wide to about one and a half vehicles wide, with a small creek crossing early on. The route cuts back and forth through a pine forest lined with thick brush, where wildlife such as mule deer are often spotted. Around 7,200 feet, the forest shifts as aspen trees begin to replace the pines. The trail narrows in this section before opening into a large meadow with stunning mountain views all around.
