Trail Overview

Cleghorn Ridge features excellent views and challenging obstacles. There is plenty of space at trailheads to pull over and air down\up. Weekends can get busy, but most of the trail has room to pass. Some of the obstacles can be extremely challenging, so use caution and drive within your ability. Please pack out any trash you create or find. The trail is close to Silverwood Lake, which offers day use and overnight camping. The day use fee is $10. Overnight camping requires reservations and cost varies by site

My first time running Cleghorn, was a lot of fun! Main trail is quite easy (I’d rate a 2), can be tackled with most SUVs/trucks/crossovers as long as you have a bit of ground clearance for small rutted out sections. The offshoots are very fun and range in difficulty, I’d say there’s a little something for everyone up there. I ended up on The Chute by mistake, which is one of the more challenging obstacles. Steep, narrow, off-camber section with lots of deep ruts right now. You’ll have to hug the wall to maintain balance, which makes navigating the set of steep ledges a challenge. I didn’t have a spotter, but luckily made it out with only a flesh wound on my rear bumper.
