Trail Overview
This very sandy one vehicle wide route cuts through a small, shallow canyon surrounded by very small desert brush and a few Joshua trees. Interesting boulder rock formations appear throughout the canyon. Although mostly sandy, a few small rock sections, all under 12 inches tall, add variety. Great views of the Eastern Sierras unfold as you navigate. A few high bank turns add fun technical features. One very steep 150-foot hill climb rewards you with 360-degree stunning views of the valleys and mountains surrounding the area from the summit. Washboards, off-camber sections, ruts, and uneven sandy sections all under 12 inches appear throughout.

Difficulty
The very sandy surface requires momentum management throughout. That one very steep 150-foot hill climb is the crux, demanding low range, excellent traction, and commitment to summit for those 360-degree views. Washboards, off-camber sections, ruts, and uneven sandy sections all under 12 inches create accumulated challenges without individual extreme obstacles. A few high bank turns add technical moments. The small rock sections under 12 inches are manageable. Four wheel drive handles the steep climb and sandy conditions. The 360-degree view summit makes the demanding climb worthwhile.
