Trail Overview

Big Meadow FS 23S07 loops around Big Meadow, one of the most popular and beloved meadows in the area, set within thick pine forest in Sequoia National Forest. Camp Andrew Brown sits along the trail, and numerous hiking trails branch off the loop, providing access into the surrounding forest and along the eastern border of the Domeland Wilderness Area. The open meadow views combined with the dense pine forest backdrop make this one of the more scenic and accessible drives in the network.

Difficulty

The hard-packed dirt surface is fairly smooth throughout, with no significant technical obstacles present. The gentle loop around the meadow is accessible to most vehicles and experience levels, making this a natural starting point for those new to the area.
