Trail Overview

Beginning from the back of the Brockway Vista neighborhood, the Beaver Street Extension - FS 16N86 sneaks into the forest as a nicely graded dirt road. It maintains an easy character until you pass the junction with FS 16N57. Here, the road takes a hard right and ascends a steep, loose hill, significantly changing the trail's character from a Level 2 to a Level 3 or 4 depending on conditions. Once you conquer the hill, the road mellows out, returning to a Level 2 character as it continues through the forest to its terminus at the junction with FS 16N52.

Difficulty

While the majority of the trail is a mild Level 2, the rating gets bumped to a solid 3 (and possibly a 4 depending on current trail conditions) due to the steep, loose hill climb immediately following the hard right turn past the FS 16N57 junction. Ruts and rock slabs also add to the challenge on this section.
