Trail Overview

This is a power line trail within the Miami OHV area, open to vehicles 50 inches or less. This trail runs underneath a series of powerline poles, with several steep and rutted spots that will make this trail more difficult for the inexperienced ATV rider. The steep sections are often covered in a layer of sticks and debris, with deep ruts that make the trail more sloped and off-camber. One half of the trail is lower than the other, with ruts running down one side of the trail and crossing over to the other side of the trail. From its north entrance, the trail descends for the first half mile, then it turns west at a corner where the east side has been marked with no motorized use. Then it climbs up another rutted hill. It winds through the oaks and manzanitas until it connects with 21E227.

Difficulty

This is a more moderate ATV trail due to several rutted and off-camber hills both up and down that will make it feel tippy in a quad. This is rated as "Easy" by the Forest Service, but ATV riders should be aware of off-camber spots and lots of ruts, which can change with erosion.
