Trail Overview
This 1.6 mile long dirt bike trail is more primitive and will require some route finding. It has a faint entrance from the north end, followed by a few big downed logs extending into the trail that the trail skirts around. There’s a lot of small loose rocks and some embedded bigger rocks in the trail, and it is also littered with fallen leaves, pine cones and pine needles, making it kind of difficult to see the trail at times. There’s a few more small downed logs across the trail that you’ll have to ride over. The first half of the trail is a gradual ascent, weaving tightly between the manzanita shrubs, and topping out at a wide open ridge on the hilltop. The trail becomes covered in loose rocks and goes over long embedded rock slabs. It goes down a couple rock slab drop offs that are ramped and not too difficult. It continues back into the forest and descends through the oak trees, with a few more embedded rock layers and faint sections. A map will be really helpful here, because it’s easy to get off trail here.
