Trail Overview

This is a short and easy ATV trail that goes through the Stanislaus National Forest on a really wide path, looking more like a road. It has shallow ruts and uneven ground, with sections of small loose rock, but in general it is very easy and obstacle free. It stays wide the whole route, with very gradual curves. It goes through an area that has been logged, so there's good visibility through the trees. There's a bit of flat embedded rock layers in the path, and a big rock slab overlooking the next mountain that could be a good stop to take a break. The east end ends on FS 3N01, which is for highway level vehicles only.

Access Description

This trail system is easily accessible from the Hull Creek Campground, a paid forest service campground off of FS Road 3N01, south of Long Barn, California. There are lots of other dispersed campsites throughout the forest roads that can be used for staging, but know that OHVs are not allowed on the paved FS 3N01. The trails are open from April 15 to December 15, and it gets really hot and dusty here in the summer, so the best time to visit is spring and fall.
