Trail Overview
The south end of this trail starts at an intersection with 15EV60, and it steeply climbs up for less than half a mile until it connects with the ATV trail 15EV73. The entire route is a narrow and shelfy trail cut into the hillside, lined with pines and manzanitas. It hugs the hillside, with small loose rocks and minor embedded rock layers that will make this climb more difficult for the inexperienced rider. It has a couple wide switchbacks, but they are pretty steep. Keep your momentum up to not loose traction on the climb. This is an easier option if needing to bail out from the harder trail 15EV60.
Difficulty
This whole trail is a steep climb from west to east. There are a couple wide switchbacks and a bit of rock that make it more technical. It doesn’t have any big rock ledges, and it will be easier in the downhill direction from east to west. This trail is rated as Most Difficult by the Forest Service.
