Trail to Bucareli Mission

The trail begins at a high point in the Sierra Gorda Reserve, situated amidst the mountains. Once you leave the paved road, you embark on a steep descent into one of Mexico's most scenic canyons, signaling the start of an adventurous journey. Words can hardly capture the experience of descending into this otherworldly landscape. As you navigate each bend, you'll encounter breathtaking scenes, with a few modest homes and farms scattered along the hillsides, until you eventually reach the town of Bucareli, home to a historic mission.
