Road Number 662 is a mix surface of gravel, rock, and sand, with some sections more rutted and washed out. Some of these trails have steep inclines and some large rocks. Also, be aware this area is prone to flooding, sections of this road either drive in a wash or through one, please be careful in the rainy season. Not recommended for long wheelbase. Short wheel base vehicles only if coming in from the western side / Hyduke Road/659 going to the Lava Dome. Crossing lots of washes going in and out with short spacing between each side. At some point hit an obstacle that was not one I was willing to tackle in stock 4x4 as it was very rutted and steep going into and then out of a wash. We backtracked over to the 809 / 807 and met back up with the 662 nearer to the lava dome. 809 / 807 was poorly marked and sometimes the main trail seemed to disappear completely with other trails meeting back up to where ONx says the trail should be. Also short wheelbase as in and out of washes throughout.
