Lake Mercer South Loop Trail

This trail branches off and then rejoins the South Run Stream Valley Trail allowing for a loop around Lake Mercer. It follows the south side of South Run stream and south side of Lake Mercer. It connects to the South Run Stream Valley Trail west of Lake Mercer and on the northeast side of Lake Mercer on top of the lake dam. The trail is paved and more than doubletrack wide. The trail is wooded, mostly flat with gentle up and downs, and a few steep inclines. Initially, the trail ascends and runs high above the stream valley but as it approaches the lake, it descends closer to the water.
