Description
You can only get to Powder Valley from Geyer Rd. Lots of free parking next to the nature/educational center. There are two paved trails and one dirt trail here. The asphalt trails are wide and in good shape. You could push a wheelchair on them but you had better be in good shape. Many long steep ascents. A few are very steep. There are benches installed frequently along the trail if you get winded. Powder Valley sits next to the intersection of two major highways. Traffic noise is not to bad on this trail but can be bothersome at the southern end of the park. There seems to be a fair number of birds here and sometimes you see deer. They have done a good job of keeping invasive Honeysuckle out of the park.
