Young Conservation Area

Start off by hitting the trail at the end of the gravel parking lot. Stay straight until you get to a house that forces you to take a right and go across concrete bridge. Go up the hill and take a slight right to get on the main Taconic Loop Trail. Take the next right to get on the Taconic Loop. When the loop comes back to the main trail, take a right and take the LaBarque Hills Trail loop clockwise. The first half is flat for a half mile or so then starts a steady climb to the top of the hill. The second half is a dip, then rise, then two nice downhills until a rolling finish. There are several creek crossings here and some nice rock/creek features near the bottom of the loop. Finish by staying straight on the main trail once you reach the Taconic Loop. After crossing the concrete bridge and making the turn back to the lot, go left at the junction and take the bottom trail the goes along LaBarque Creek. Take the first right back to the parking lot.
