The trail doesn't look like it's been maintained lately. There was a torn down sign stating it was closed, not sure if it's current or not but since parts of the trail are almost falling down the river bank I'm assuming it might be.
The northern loop of the trail looked extremely overgrown, the southern loop was not passable due to fallen trees and undergrowth before the waterfall point of interest.
Hopefully the city will come through soon, it was a really nice wooded, natural trail.

A nice trail along the Rouge River starting from Ford Field Park and ending at the waterfalls behind the Henry Ford Estates. A very nice trail with scenic views. You'll find lots of different kinds of birds as well as deer and other wildlife.
