Description
Three Mile Ridge Trail leaves the CDT at a marker numbered 6124 and descends quickly to an old hunting camp at a saddle in the ridge. Look for a sign saying "Water" and the trail leaves this saddle to the right. Descend past the spring, the trail then crosses an open face in a mixture of side-hilling and steepness. After leaving the open face, the trails meets Three Mile Ridge itself and follows the ridgeline all the way down through trees and tall grass. At the bottom is Dahlonega Creek Road. Go right on the gravel road and it is about 3.5 miles to the highway. Stop in Broken Arrow Restaurant for refreshments and some grub after this hike.
