Tassajara Creek Trail

The trail starts right at the border of Mount Diablo State Park, shortly before the fence on Highland Ridge Trail. It stays relatively level for the first mile gently following the contours of the hills. The first mile is out in the open with no shade. A bench to the left of the trail at 0.9 miles is a great spot for a break to take in the view. After that, the trail enters the forest on the northern side of the ridge and parallels Tassajara Creek. At 2 miles, stay left and hike up the hill again to reach Old Finely Road.
