Description
From the trailhead, start a gentle to moderate climb that follows along a hillside; almost all of the trail is uphill. There are a few small streams that flow across the trail down into the creek at the bottom. The forest is thick and the vegetation is rich. Nearing the end of the trail, the climb intensifies into a few switchbacks, this means you are nearing the end and the big payoff. Once to the top of the switchbacks, you'll be greeted with a beautiful panorama of the park. The trail to !Alta Peak is to the left.
