If you love view hikes, this is the park for you! The hike starts uphill on the Dornan Grove Trail. Don't forget to turn around to see the amazing views of the park, Mount Tamalpais and the Marin headlands. The area is covered with native grasses and low brush. When you reach Old Country Road trail turn left and you'll start seeing the best views you can find of the Richmond Bridge in the East Bay. You'll also see the Golden Gate Bridge peaking out from behind Angel Island. Take the trail all the way to the end, so you can enjoy the views. Head back to Marine View Trail, which is appropriately named. The views of the water are magical from this trail. Then take the Crest Trail along the ridge, and you can see a 360-degree view of the SF Bay, Bay Bridge, Golden Gate Bridge, Richmond Bridge, multiple cities, Richmond Water Treatment Plant and the refineries. The views are impressive on this trail! Take the Crest Trail down to Canal Blvd. We saw wild turkeys on the trail, and got an up-close view of Richmond's industrial roots. The Crest Trail turns into a paved road, which leads you up to East Vista Point. At the Point, take the out-and-back down to the road. The views of the Harbor are worth the trek. Continue enjoying the amazing views on the Crest Trail. Turn Left on Old Country Road trail and enjoy the shade of the pine trees. Take West Ridge Trail up to the ridge. This is a steep climb, so turn around once in a while and enjoy the SF Bay views. Wind your way back to the parking lot, and try to find the ice cream truck.
