The road to the trailhead closes in winter. You may still rxh the trail from the road, making the rxh 4 miles round trip. The trail itself is not easily followed in winter, so map and compass navigational skills are a must. Proper equipment such as traction devices, snowshoes, or cross-county skis may be required depending on snow conditions.
