Loop
Parking is located at the !Blevins Trailhead where the loop starts and ends. You can adjust this loop to your needs by adding or removing trails to create a loop ranging in distance from 3 miles to over 20 miles. This is my go-to loop for medium distance and includes parts of the Blevins, Moon Rock, Channel and Cat Peaks trails. In this hike, at about 3 miles, when I am good and warmed up, I cut back to Blevins from the Channel Trail using the Amigos Wash Trail. You can use the parallel Levee Trail instead of Channel if you prefer hiking on gravel path to dirt, or if the channel is too muddy-decide when you get to the junction, or on the fly. You can also use the parallel Noso Trail instead of the Amigos Wash Trail if you don't like hiking in washes: a lot of the time, these are ankle-deep sand. It is a good change of pace, I think.
