This trail makes its way along a pleasant oak tree covered hillside. Occasionally the trail breaks out of the wooded areas to reveal glimpses of other parts of the surrounding valley. In combination with the Edwards Creek Trail, this is one of easiest routes up out of the Crockett Ranch staging area.
