Description
This portion of the Meramec River Greenway Trail connects Unger Park with Fentons City Park and Olde Town before ending at George Winter County Park, approximately four miles downstream from Unger. A good portion of the connecting trail utilizes existing roadways so be sure to use caution when hiking on a shared road. Starting in Unger, there is one mile of paved trail. The trail begins near the shelter and follows a grassy field. After crossing the spillway, the trail then utilizes an old roadway that parallels the Meramec River. The trail ends at the northwest corner of the park along the river where you'll hike under large oak trees. From here, the trail going toward Fenton shares the road out the park and along Larkin Williams Road. The trail continues through Fenton City Park and Ole Town before ending at George Winter County Park.
