Ewoldsen Trail

From the parking lot and slightly beyond the bathrooms, find the sign indicating Ewoldsen Trail. The trail initially passes through a picnic area with several picnic tables and BBQ stations. At the end of the picnic area is a small water crossing protected by some wood boards laid across the creek. After crossing the creek, continue along the trail passing Canyon Falls Trail. A little passed the Canyon Falls Trail junction is a sign indicating "Ewoldsen Loop." Head either right or left to continue on the trail. Either way you are hiking up! Follow the loop all the way around, passed the junction for the Overlook Trail and the Waters Trail, until you end up back at the "Ewoldsen Loop" sign. From there, head back down the trail to the parking lot. Along the trail, you'll make several creek crossings over bridges and have opportunities to take in some views of the California coast and of several redwood groves.
