Red Hollow Slot Canyon

Parking at the gate of the water facility, had right (if looking towards the fence ) and follow the trail down to the wash. The bottom of the wash is fairly flat. The wash is sandy with occasional rocks to hike/step over. Although there is not much elevation change, it is exposed to the elements so on a hot day make sure you take plenty of water and sunscreen. You'll stay in the wash for about a third of a mile. Be sure to look at the rocks you are stepping over as there are fossils to be found and enjoyed. After the first third of a mile, there is a fork. Go left and enter into the red rock slot canyon. There are a few boulders and tight spots to get over, but none that are more than three or four feet high and they are easily traversed. Eventually, you'll reach a tall wall with a rope hanging over. This does allow you to continue on, however it does require technical ability.
