Loop
Starting from North Chuckanut Trailhead, work your way up the Interurban Trail and keep left to stay on the trail to Arroyo Park, then continue onto Lost Lake Trail. Soon you'll turn onto Hemlock Trail and enjoy the huffing and puffing that this climb will bring to your lungs and the sting you'll feel in your legs. At the top of Hemlock Trail, follow the signs for Raptor Ridge and enjoy an excellent viewpoint on a ledge before making your way down the other side. Turn onto Madrone Crest Trail for a brief out and back to a bonus view, then start heading down to Salal Trail where you'll be treated with a technical downhill. Be mindful of uphill hikers/runners and mountain bikers as this is a multi-use trail. Finally, you'll end the loop the same way you came in, on a small section of Lost Lake Trail back to the parking lot. This loop can be done in either direction for just as much fun and a totally different experience. Also, feel free to check out the other trails in the area to add on or create a different route of your own!
