There and Back
The trail is about 2.5 miles one way (not including the Fragrance Lake Loop around the lake), making it a moderate hike suitable for most ages and fitness levels. From the trailhead on the Interurban Trail, climb the switchbacks to the first intersection. Take a left for a short trail to a viewpoint. Head right to continue the main trail. After more climbing with some switchbacks and rooty section, you'll encounter the top gate.Continue straight ahead for a short way to the lake, where you'll be rewarded with peaceful views and the opportunity to relax by the water. It's a popular spot for picnics, swimming (if weather permits), and simply enjoying some of the best outdoors in Washington State!Note that this is an extremely popular trail and you'll likely encounter lots of groups hiking/running on this trail during the weekends. If you are looking to avoid the crowds your best bet would be to go early in the morning or sometime during the middle of the week.
