Description
Unlike many of the Blue Mound State Park trails, this trail is not entirely surrounded by thick forests. This trail is mostly situated in wide open prairie, which is well maintained with native vegetation. The wildflowers in this prairie are fairly vibrant in summer, especially when rainfall is at or above normal. The overall trail is fairly easy. There is only one steeper incline/decline as the trail nears the Over Lode Trail. Otherwise, one can make quick time on this wide-open trail.
