Description
The trail is relatively flat and paved, thereby making it easy for walkers, runners, and bikers alike. It is part of the 49 miles of the Mecklenburg greenway system, in addition to being a part of the Carolina Thread Trail system. The 4.8-mile section runs along side Little Sugar Creek, a beautiful and critical habitat. There is a number of bridges connecting to neighborhood entrances, Huntingtowne Park, and Park Road Park. The 124-acre Park Road Park features a brand-new playground, baseball and softball fields, an 11-acre pond with a pier, and lighted tennis courts.
