North Sand Point Trail

This out-and-back trail starts from the parking area and seasonal ranger station off Seafield Road. Cross the Ozette River and take the left fork onto the North Sand Point Trail heading southwest. The trail feels pretty level at first, pushing through dense jungle-like vegetation on a lovely boardwalk. Then descend through drier stands of forest. The trail ends at the beach near Sand Point, the rocky peninsular outcrop. There are campsites just to the south of Sand Point and one at the end of the North Sand Point Trail at the beach. Depending on the tides, the shoreline can be a wonderful place for exploring tide pools and general beach combing. Check the tide tables with the ranger at the parking lot.
