Upon entering from the trailhead (look for Torrey Pines North Grove along the road), you can turn either right or left. This is a lollipop trail. Turning left will give some early ocean views, while right leads right to the (unfortunately now dead) Torrey pine grove. This trail is quite beautiful, and easy enough for even small children. There are two ocean viewpoints, at the far corners of the "lollipop," with benches where you can enjoy the view.
