San Clemente Beach Trail

North Trailhead: Exit the I-5 on E Avenida Pico. Follow Pico west for 0.7 miles until it ends on N. El Camino Real. Turn right and look for the Metrolink Station. South Trailhead: Exit the I-5 on Ave Calafia. Head west for 0.2 miles. Ave Calafia ends at the parking area. This is a fast, flat course that showcases one of the most scenic beaches in the area. The trail is a combination of hard-packed sand and boardwalk. There a couple of small paved sections. This trail gets very busy on the weekends and is best hit early in the morning. There are several other parking / access points along the trail.
