Loop
The Nature Loop is one of the best easy hikes inside Caspers Wilderness Park.At 1 mile in total distance, and less than 30 feet of total elevation gain, the Nature Loop heads out from the back parking lot area near the old corral, and follows a sandy single track path through the chaparral landscape of a dry wash. Hikers will pass live oak trees and prickly pear, beneath wide views of the Santa Ana Mountains. The Nature Loop overlaps with the beginning portion of several of the park's extended backcountry network of trails, however signs and markers along the route make it easy to navigate the path of the loop shorter loop trail.Bicycles are not permitted at the portions of the loop trail. The path begins and ends at two different points along the road through the Old Corral area at the north end of the park. Both trailheads have a informational sign making it easy to find.As of 2022, well damage has blocked all water flow to the park. Park visitors and hikers are responsible for bringing their own water, as there is currently none available anywhere in the park. The most current conditions can be found here.
