This hike begins on the Sand Canyon Trail. Then, the majority of route trail follows the Roundup Trail which eventually changes to the Red Rock Canyon Trail. Then, turn on to Quarry Pass Trail, then the Mesa Trail and Meadowlark Trail, and finally, to finish with Sand Canyon Trail.All in all, you are not on the main paths for the majority of the hike. So it is a bit more peaceful and less crowded for those that don't like to constantly have to move to the side to let others pass or feel you have someone hiking behind at a faster pace. Some water erosion and bicyclists may need to be avoided during your hike.A great escape, and beautiful landscape for all.
A great feature of this route that it includes the quarries in Red Rock Canyon Open Space.
