Description
This trail starts out with a smooth, wide dirt road-like section, but within about a half mile the trail turns into singletrack as it nears Grove Creek. It then hits a switchback that brings the trail up above the creek for about a mile. The section after the switchback is a cool section of the trail, where you can see a couple of neat waterfalls and a section of the trail appears to have been carved out of a cliff band. After about a mile of being up above the creek, the trail eventually meets up with the creek and crosses over it via a small foot bridge. After crossing the foot bridge, the trail switches back a couple more times and pretty soon starts to level out as it ascends into the meadow below Mount Timpanogos. The trail passes by a sign for Indian Campground and Grove Creek Spring, and there is a spring nearby (right next to the trail) that can be used if you need a water refill. After the spring, the trail continues past a few forks in the trail, including a fork that goes to the south on the Grove Creek - GWT Connector, another that goes north towards Mahogany Mountain, and a fork (where you can go either north or south) with the Great Western Trail. Not long after the fork with the Great Western Trail, the trail ends at the Timpooneke Road.
