Point to Point
This trail is a challenging ascent into the Santa Catalina front range wilderness. The trail starts more moderate and gets progressively rougher the further you make it from the trailhead.
The trail does not go directly to the finger, instead it contours around Mt. Kimball before terminating at the junction with Ventana Trail #98 and Esperero Trail #25.
It is most often used as an out-and-back trail and is frequently visited by locals. The trail consist of typical desert conditions which include rocks of all sizes, a plethora of dirt, and plants that poke. The initial mile or so will be more forgiving filled with Sonoran vegetation before you start the climb up the slopes above the gorge.
